Our master trainers are passionate about anatomy, functional movement and are complete Pilates nerds. They are dedicated to ensuring you enjoy comprehensive programs that create confident and prepared trainers in a fun and supportive environment.
Our Teachers
Ali
Ali is the founder of Bodylove Pilates, a Master Trainer with over 10 years experience teaching both in New York and Sydney. Ali received her comprehensive certification at Pilates Academy International - training with the co-founders at their flagship studio on Fifth Avenue. While working for, and training under master trainer Erika Bloom in New York, Ali specialized in Pre & Postnatal Pilates. Ali completed extensive continuing education programs over her time in New York, studying and teaching many special populations and rehabilitation modules. She is passionate about education and is dedicated to serving her community of clients and trainers to the best of her ability.
Sophie
Sophie's passion for movement has blossomed into a fulfilling career after working and studying in various areas of the exercise and fitness industry. Sophie has completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise from the University of Technology Sydney and is a self confessed anatomy nerd. Sophie gravitated towards pilates in the mid 00's to improve her core strength and balance and hasn't looked back. In addition to her degree she holds her Mat and Reformer Certifications, Fitness Certification and is currently completing an Assisted Stretch Therapy Certification. Soph has been with Bodylove Pilates since the opening of their first studio and has been participating in ongoing pre and postnatal training under founder, Ali Handley.
Ashleigh
Ashleigh has always loved moving and nourishing her body with the Pilates practice and believes this form of movement is medicine! Ash has qualifications in Mat & Reformer Pilates as well as Pre & Post-natal training taught by expert BodyLove founder, Ali Handley. With over 6 years of experience, Ashleigh finds joy in teaching movement that is supportive, transformative, challenging & fun. Ash has a creative and dynamic teaching style and enjoys challenging her clients with new sequences that they may have never tried before!
Alexa
Alexa grew up dancing and started Pilates to supplement her dance training. After school she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance, worked within the dance industry and has always been fascinated by movement. Alexa has been teaching Pilates for 6 years and has more recently completed her Diploma in Pilates Instruction and is studying a Bachelor of Exercise Science. Alexa teaches Mat, Barre and Reformer group classes. She also teaches studio equipment pilates and privates. Alexa has a very specific teaching style and likes her clients to understand the exercises and listen to what is going on in their bodies.
Dom
Dom competed in equestrian showjumping and started Pilates to help with her posture and strength. She fell in love with the control and results and started attending group classes which she thought were so fun! Dom is an experienced Pilates instructor with qualifications in Personal Training and Studio Equipment Pilates. She has over 8 years of teaching experience and outside of Pilates is currently completing her Masters in Nutrition. Dom loves her classes to flow and offer a lot of different levels of difficulty, this creates an inclusive environment where a variety clients can enjoy the class depending on how their body is feeling that day.
